Is RabbitKey really free?
Yes. The free version includes full encryption, biometric unlock, cloud sync, password health, tags, multiple vaults, device transfer, CSV import, and up to 100 entries. No ads, no tracking, no trial period.
What does Pro add?
Unlimited entries and one-time codes (OTP) with autofill — store your 2FA secrets next to the matching login and fill the rolling 6-digit code straight from the keyboard. Everything else, including cloud sync, password health, multiple vaults, tags, device transfer, and CSV import, is free. Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription.
How is my data encrypted?
Every entry is end-to-end (E2E) encrypted on your device with authenticated XChaCha20-Poly1305 before it touches storage. Your master password derives the encryption key locally via PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256. We never see your passwords or your key.
Can you see my passwords?
No. We have no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Your vault exists only on your device (and optionally in your own cloud storage, still encrypted).
What happens if I forget my master password?
We cannot recover it — by design. If you enabled biometric unlock, you may still access your vault via Face ID or Touch ID.
How does sync work?
You connect your own cloud storage (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or a WebDAV server). Only the encrypted vault file is transferred. We never operate sync servers.
Is there a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. You buy it once and keep it forever — no recurring charges.
Which platforms does RabbitKey support?
iOS and macOS are available now on the App Store and Mac App Store. Android and Windows builds are in active development and will land on Google Play and Microsoft Store shortly.
